    Default Terrova trolling motor

Has anyone tried cutting some of the length off the 54 inch shaft ? Would like to make a 48 inch shaft. This was the shortest length in a 24 volt model. Anyone know how many wires are inside the shaft. Hate to experiment with motor still under warranty.

    I haven't.
Would suggest if a repair shop is near by I would be asking them the cost.
A lot of times the less aggravation and less worry out weighs the use of your time and can be a lot less expensive in the long run.
Unless you can find directions on this board or a link to some.

Send Jabbo a PM...He cut his shaft with minimal effort.

You can buy it in 45" from iboats.com. That's where I got mine. No cutting required
