    Default Dale Hollow Smallmouth Help

Taking a few friends to the Hollow for the first time for some FnF action. Never been on that water before so I could use a little help as where to start. We will be staying at Horse Creek, leaving on the 23rd. Thanks for any and all help!

I've done well crappie fishing on Dale Hollow. For that reason when I go I don't do much smallmouth fishing. I have caught many large smallies on crappie minnows though. One over 7 pounds. The best advice I can give is to buy a topo map and make sure you pay attention to rocks and whatnot. There are some shallow areas that sneak up on ya, and those rocks are unforgiving.

Charger, you may want to visit Fishin.com. Go to the discussion board for Ky.. There are a bunch on there that do the FnF at Dale Hollow

Ill tell you that I know nothing about that particular lake, However when I was 17 years old and would eat breath and sleep fishing read Billy Westmorelands book on smallmouth fishing and all he talked about was Dale Hollow. If you can get your hands on it prior to your trip I am sure it would be usefull. Hope this helps a little.
