Lorance- HDS Gps and Sonar

Has anyone had any experience with the new Lorance HDS systems.I have been looking at one and wanted to see what other fishman thoughts was on these units.

david i do not know but they look awsome in the books, i would be interested aswell if anyone had any info.

Never seen one in person, but they do look nice at the Lowrance site.
HDS High-Def System | Lowrance

Since I got this new Humminbird 1197c I have not actually got on the lake with, but from what I see Lowrance would need a side scan to make me want another. I have the LCX 27c on the front now and don't think this would help that. It looks like the HD part is just for charting anyway unless I am missing something on my quick look. Until they start giving us something to see the bottom real time and now some color graphic to represent what is there instead of like the Himminbird that shows the bottom and bot some representative view of what is there.
