I think Rango deserves a big round of aplause.
I'm going to send Rango out a nice Crappie.com gift. I'd like to suggest that if anyone can write an article even close to what Rango has done here, I'll also send presents! Rango, great job, everyone will certainly appreciate it.

Thats a great article I just wish he could have shown examples of areas he fishes on a nice quadrangle map. Also he didnt mention anything about the correct dosage of medicine one needs for a nightstalk. Other than that I loved it and really appreciate him taking time out of his fishing scedule to write this.
FANTASTIC! Article Rango. Very well put together. You should put that in Crappie World.
Have a crappie day!:D [email protected]
Great article, Rango! I really like the photos to go along with the text....and both are excellent!!

thanks guys for all the nice comments on this article. I hope it helps you understand how us night stalkers go about our set ups. of course everyone will have variations on what ive said that they can apply to their situation. Ed contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if i could write something on doing a night stalk so i give it a shot. It took about a week to do, and required a lot of redoing before i sent it to him. one comment id like to make is when i refer to the "chain style anchors" the correct word should be "chene style anchors" sounds like it must be a french word or something.. It would be interesting to see some more articles on the different approaches crappie fishermen make in their quest for king crappo. night stalkers, trollers, spider rigers, jiggers, dock shooters, pole fishermen, give us something to read...
listen with your eyes---its the only way to beleive what you hear...
Excellent article! I agree with Richard...I don't recall reading an article about night stalking in the Crappie World Magazine, and this would be an excellent "Special Edition" to night fishing for Crappie World. Thanks for extending my fishing days to a few more hours, Rango...I'm sure my wife appreciates this too! :D
