Fishing Guides & "TWIC"

Just wondering if any of you Guides have had to get your TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Cridential) Card yet. Mine should be in this week. I know that they were working on legislation that would exempte certain people like Fishing Guides. Just wondering. The deadline is getting close.

I,m not a guide but I've got mine . where I work they will start using them on Jan. 13, 2009

I work for a major steveadoring co. Here in Little Rock we are classified as a "non-threat" or something like that by the Coast Guard. Our sister locations all are required to comply. Unfortunately, the port authority does not think they need to be involved with security feeling the responsabuility and expense are soley ours, the operator. But, we are not the only tenant behind the gates. It will be a big mess when the coast guard finaly works it's way down to us.

Good eye. I'm a pilot for Ingram. Run the Tn. river to Chatt., Tn most of the time. Been with Ingram over 30 years. Good people! How'd you no that was an Ingram boat? You a river rat too? :D

Dang Wiskers, I've been wondering if you came through here -
one locked through headed upriver Sunday when I was at Pickwick
and I wondered if it was you. I got to be WAY too close to read the
writing on 'em though - need glasses, but can see good up close.
Always figured if it's that far away, I don't need to see it real clear :D
