    Default Crappie Bite!!!

Went ice fishing last night and started out with two Crappies. I was still marking fish on the Vexilar but all they would do is just come up to my jig and take a look then back off. I was using a 1/80thoz.jig with a Little Atom tail attached. They also were not hitting minnows. The weather started out with cloud cover then it cleared off with falling temps. Could the weather have been a factor in this type of behavior or are there any other things to try when you get this kind of bite?

Check out the tips thread. I posted a video from Dave Genz that may answer your question.

I use hair jigs....no meat and when they stop short of my 80th I'll drop to
a 100th. i saw the same thing working an 80th .They came up and backed off then I switched and bingo....fish on.
If that doesn't work I'm going to a different lake.
You can't make them hit all of the time.
Yesterday was a tough day but with a 100th on we caught a few limits.
