Hey folks, new to the forum her and just wanted to say hey...... "hey"
Also I picked up a pontoon boat that I'm refurbishing for fishing and I've mounted a set of driving lights underneath the deck for some night time crappie fishing and was wondering if anyone knew of any super bright LED lights I could use. I know the driving lights will be a serious battery drain.

Thanks
Slip

Check out bluewaterled.com for your led lighting needs. They have some deals going now.

west ky says...hey ya'll

I done a few voltage tests on some different lights when I first started night fishing.

Now, I realize that you are talking about driving lights, but maybe this will be helpfull anyway.

Most of my buddies that night fish either use store bought floating lights or home made floating lights made from a automotive headlight bulb affixed in a styrofoam ring.

I bought a couple of 1 million candle power spotlights and as far as I can tell the spotlights seem to draw slightly less voltage than the automotive headlight.

I can run (2)two 1 million candle power spotlights, a baitwell aerator, a livewell aerator, and (2) boat running lights (for ambient light) all night long and not run down my 27 series AC Delco marine battery.

I don't see why you couldn't affix 1 million candle power spotlights to your boat for driving lights........

And, if you rig some kind of quick-release, the spotlights can be used as a handheld light also....

Just some ideas you might consider...

Thanks guys for all the replies, I'll give the installed 55w lights a try and see if I need to change them out. I like the generator idea, I know Honda makes a 3k that you cant hear unless your sitting on it.
