    Default PVC rod holders

I made these for night fishing....

They are adjustable to the most comfortable position to rest my hands on with the line "cradled" in the crook of my index finger to detect even the slightest tap....

    Hey rnvinc,
LOVE THE IDEA!!!!!!! A few questions cause I have to make one now.
    Is that 3" PVC?
What are the lengths of the straight pieces?
What did you use to cut the holes and saddles in the PVC?
What did you use to make your cuts so smooth?

Thanks for posting this and thanks for you help.

    Those look nice, creative thinking!

I have been looking to do something similar but still stuck in the design phase. I want to make 2 holders for my kayak and really don't want to make any holes if I don't have to. Problem is, one lake where I fish has 30" catfish that hang out in the same places as the crappie. Almost lost one rod this past summer and think those might let the rod get pulled out, I'm thinking mostly while longline trolling when your bait is pretty far back.

Thanks for the idea... I'm going to try to make one but place the backside hole lower to make the pole stand closer to a 30 or 40 deg angle. I would think that would be harder to pull out while trolling.
