    Default Got Dad out today

It was a great day today.
Warm...somewhat sloppy ,but warm nonethe less which was great for getting the ole Man out on the ice.
I bought him a pretty decent new rod and reel for Christmas and I mounted a spring for him plus added a 100th oz jig so he was all ready for fishing.

It's been awhile since he was out so I worked with him for a bit on lifting those slabs.
He got dialed in and away he went.

We did a number on them right off of the get go.
He missed a few and caught 1 without knowing but all in all it was a great time .

I can never repay him enough so I try to stay patient while he trys to do what we do.
It's kinda new to him but he gives it his best shot.
Each year we sorta start all over again ,but if I can keep him out there for a few days he get's right back into the swing of things.

I'll admit it was a tough s.o.b. out there.
We had to work the fish, but they came.
That's one thing Dad's got....patients.When things are tough he's not one to cut and run.
It was sorta challenging to get him to run the camera.
    Again patients.
    Here's a few pics.

My good friend Rick was out today as well with the boys.
Guys don't get made any nicer in my book.

Took a few shots today of him and his sons for Rick's blog and realty website.

He should be joining our forum and posting a thread on what's going on over in his world.
He's married to LeAnn who is also sweet gal.
    Here's Rick's boys.
We did a few shots as well.
You'll notice one is highlighting Tom's fishouses that are for rent on BSL.
Tom's rates are reasonable...call him and say CK sent you.

Nothing else to report so it's back to the vice for this cat.
I will say that we dropped to small baits today and lifted the slabs about 3 foot off of the bottom.
Caught 1 for every 10 that we could even get to move.
Later guys....hitting it in the A.M if there's not too much ice on the road.
Thanks Rick for taking this super pic!

That makes me wish my dad still felt like going fishing. I've tried many times to get him to go with me but he just doesn't have the energy anymore at 79.

    Great fish guys!
