Hope Santa was Good to Y'all...
I mustn't have been as bad as I thought. Got a new Shimano Sahara 500 reel (little sucker) and St. Croix Avid 4'6" UL rod for the fishing the tight quarters on our docks. Can't wait to use it next week at LOZ. Already got her rigged up with new line and a SlabBuster. My wife is telling me to quit playing with my rod all day.
Hoping to hear what other fishing-related gifts y'all ended up with ... it may give me some ideas on what else to add to the crappie arsenal.
Here's hoping it was a fun, safe and spiritual holiday for all of you, as well.

Gotta a new Ego Reach net and some Power Pro 10/2 line.Gonna put both to the test tomorrow and see if i like the line.Already been scooping everything in the house up with the net and its pretty cool.:D
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
