I do it all the time, I use a cigar styrofoam bobber with a 1/16 curly tail, get it way out behind and just kinda bump the trolling motor just enough to keep a forward motion. works especially well in shallower type water like a pond or cove
I can only wish to be as good as my dog thinks I am

    I agree, slow works.
I don't do it on purpose all the time, but get drifting in the wind using a minnow on a slip bobber, and look up and the bobber is gone. Happened quite often this past summer, might have to start doing on purpose!

I know a guy that caught a 3 pounder doing that last year, using a large minnow. I like to do it too, I'd rather drag two bobbers than deal with spider rigging. my best color is a blaze orange headed jig with a chartruese chenille body, with a minnow on the hook, use 10 foot rods so when you get a bite they bend real good helping ya keep tension on the fish till ya can get it out of the rod holder.

I hope Ky never goes to a 2 pole limit. I like as many as I can keep up with...12! Thinking about trying 14
