And that ain't "Waiting on Weather", as they say in the oil patch!
This morning I saw something I would have never believed otherwise with almost a half-century of waterfowling behind me. A flock of 100 snow geese -probably more, but I am a conservative Republican - made three low swings around my spread of 14 (Yes, fourteen!) specklebelly decoys. And I mean low! I'm still pulling rice stubble out of my nose and eyes! Anyway, we took 'em on the third swing - coming - and I won't say a thing about those children of unmarried parents who didn't put any BB's in our shells!
Still, it was really something else - something I'll remember for the rest of my life! Hope I won't have to live another 50 years to experience another like it, but I won't hold my breath!
