fishy scales

Was kind of wondering with snow season here at my house I'm forced to clean my catch in my kitchen sink ,I use a sink strainer to catch fish scales but i still lose some down the drain and over time will i have pluming problems, has any one had issues. I fillet my fish but still get some scales

If you dont have a problem with you sewage system a scale or two wont be much of a bother. Just run a little extra water to flush the system.

I still clean my fish outside, put on latax glove, helps keep my hands warm and dry. I also get a bucket of warm water use it to warm my hands. Do not want to clean fish in the house, this keeps the wife happier.

I clean fish in the kitchen sink year arround never had a problem. after I am done with the job, I just put the plug in and fill up sink then let it all out at once, then I put a splash of bleach in both sides.

Clean em outside in the summer and don't ice fish so don't have to worry about winter unless someone gives me some fresh caught ice perch then I clean them in the garage.

i live in Michigan and it gets darn right cold so it nice to have some warmth to clean fish, unfortunately i have no heat in the garage

Cook & eat 'em outside. Of course here in the great state of misissippi, average winter temperature is around 50 degrees.:D

Hey ready2fish, supposed to hit 72 degrees the next few days here. Planning on going out fishing one night soon. BTW, we've already hit our winter water temps of 50 degrees here.:D
