    Default Acorn Shortage!!

Scientists baffled by mysterious acorn shortage - CNN.com

This is getting crazy. No acorns is serious news for deer and squirrel. I have acorns here. How about where you live. these squirrels around here eat peanuts. When I was sick I had 2 50lb bags of peanuts in my Peanut truck. Those rascals ate both bags(100 pounds) in a 1 1/2 year.

We had a bumper crop here in Mo.,made fall turkey and deer hunting tough because they could feed anywhere.Last few years late spring freezes killed off the acorns ,if ya found a producing tree, you were guaranteed to see wildlife.

Not a shortage for live oak here in my neck of the woods either. Maybe if the scientist got out of the lab looking for them that may help them find some.
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
