I went this morning, got on the water about 5:30, and had it all to myself for about 2 hours. I was dragging minnows and jigs along the break of an old creek channel in about 16ft of water. I fished this one area approximately 100 yards long for four hours. I must have caught 100 crappie with 85 of them being between 8-91/2 inches long, good healthly, young fish. The fifteen keepers were all between 10-14 inches long. The next three or four years look strong here on Barkley. If the good Lord is willing, I may have to get a bigger boat to haul all those mouth smackers in!!

I fished Smithville lake couple of days ago and had the same luck. Seems like I'd catch one everytime I throw my jig out. That was good fishing.
