Thunderbird Lake

I have fished Thunderbird the last 2 weekends and have caught alot of crappie but not many big ones! After talking with a couple of T-Bird regulars, they said the same. I'm going again this weekend hoping my luck on size will change!! If anyone knows of some spots on the lake, I'm new to the lake and any pointers will be appreciated!! Happy fishing

have you tried the road bed?

Since I have just started fishing Thunderbird, I'm not familiar with the lake. I put in at the ramp off of Hiway 9 at the state park. My best luck has been South of the ramp , across the lake (north) by the cement water whatever it is!!, and a very popular area about 1 mile north of the dam on the east side.
Is the roadbed close to any of these areas? 3 of us caught 86 saturday!! and I took my non-fishing son! today and we caught around 30 from 330 - 7. I think he will start fishing with me alittle more after today!!
