Big Melons

Anyone out there like melons? We grew these this summer watermelons-variety was Crimson Sweet. Pkt said they could grow up to 25 pounds. We had 2 that went 38 pounds and the 8 plants produced over 30 melons! :D

Reminds me of an old joke (at my age what doesn't?). Farmer was tired of kids stealing watermelons from his patch. He posted a sign, "ONE OF THESE MELONS HAS BEEN POISONED" Next day he found another sign in the patch: "TWO OF THESE MELONS HAVE BEEN POISONED."

Nice WM. In N.C. You can get up to 3 years in prison for taking watermelons from a farmers field. They take their melons serious here. CF

Man I like watermelon but that's over doing it a little!!!!!!!! Only thing I can think to do with it all is de=hydrate it!! It does make some tasty eating.
