    Default Tree ?

Have my eye on some small Sycamore trees that would be easy to get into the lake. Have any of you used them, and how do they compare to oak or cedar?

Thanks in advance for the input.

They work just fine Mark don't think they'll last as long but i've had some in for a few years and they seem to be holding up ok,look for persimmon if any is handy the fish will come to them almost immediatly....i'm a believer after a buddy of mine put me on a bed that hadn't been in for a month and we smacked em on it.

Have always thought cedar is the most durable, sycamore next, and willows are the least durable. Reverse is how soon they will attract fish; willows quickest, sycamores not as quick, and cedars take the longest period from the time they are sunk to how soon they can draw fish. I'm sure there are other variables that affect the quality of a brushpile including depth and structure but thats how I see it. And that opinion is worth exactly what you pay for it,,,,,nothing. Seriously, sycamores should work I would think.
