    Default Lanier

It will take a lot of rain, the outlook for this winter is colder than usual---and continued lower than normal rain fall.

Sounds like Lake Hartwell. I think it is around 20' low and none of the ramps are usable.

"preacher man says it's the end of time and Mississippi River is a going dry" Kind makes you think. We've faired a little better this year in our neck of the woods, but still over 8" below normal for rainfall.

Have not fished Lanier since spring. I hauled my boat over to Lake Weiss on the Georgia, Alabama line and left it at a friends house that's a guide there on the lake. Its a 2 hour drive but at least I can fish a lake that you can get into and has more crappie than you can shake a stick at

It is almost that bad in central TX. Granger lake where we fish is very low with only a couple ramp still in use. Even those are very shallow now and the docks are out of the water, so you have to pull up on the bank. Alot of the shallow brushpiles have the tops out of the water. Not sure of the name of it, but there is a lake close to Lanier that is almost full.
