Last day sale at Cabelas. I had one of these units on my Tracker. Worked good. Good price too.

Cabela's Advanced Angler ProSport II Charger - 8 Amps (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=holidaysale&id=0064802018868a&navCount=1&podId=0064802&parentId=cat604038&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=1AJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true)

I think the on board charger is the only way to go.

I have 4 batteries in my boat....2 for the TM...1 for all the other electronics..1 for starting the big motor.

With all them batteries I use 2-2bank on board chargers/maintainers.

Do yourself a favor and get one of those fancy battery fillers too. I have one that will fill two batteries from one location because I had to almost pull the batteries completely to even check them. Now I just hook up the jug of distilled water and squeeze the bulb. I have "0" battery problems now.
