All I can ask is your printer the default printer?
Have you tried un-install then reinstalling?
I just had to do that with mine.
Got my hard drive installed and all the goodies working. However, when I try to print a document of any type, it spools forever before printing. Sometimes minutes, but finally does print.
Device manager hardware signings good. Printer properties says printer is working properly.
Suggestions?
HP 4100F (3 in 1) cheeeeeepie. like free.

My thoughts were along the lines of- Are you using windows default drivers or the downloadables from HP? Secondly are you are assured the printer isn't damaged?

Change the properties of the printer (this is under the Advanced tab) to "Print directly to printer" or "Start printing immediately"
It sounds like it is set to "Spool" and "Start printing after last page is spooled"
Birddog,
I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

Your print spooler service or a dependent service may be the problem. The print spooler is dependent on the RPC service in order to work correctly. You may need to repair your fresh install of Windows.
