    Default Fuel line repair

Just how do you change the gas line going from the tank to the motor? Do the small bands come with the new fuel line?

If you are talking about the clamps (ty wraps) no, they are seperate. I replace them with stainless hose clamps.

IBNFISHIN--So you use clamps at both connections? At the tank and to connect the plug?--Right?
    Pescatore--Thanks for the info.

I recommend buying regular rubber gasoline hose from your hardware store vrs. buying the plastic line already in a package such as at wasmart. The rubber hose wont crack/split as easily from cold weather, especially if it's in a boiat where the fuel line will be handled any. I, too, recommend using a stainless hose clamy at all connections (motor and tank connectors, primer bulb).

you can buy the hose with the primmer bulb already made up with bands and end fittings from academy or walmart.

or go to an auto parts and ask for a gasoline hose of the same inside diameter as the old one you are replacing.

plastic tie wraps will hold it good at all fittings you have very little pressure.

put one at the fitting at the tank one on each side of the bulb and one at the fitting at the engine. or sometimes on each side of the fuel filter.
