Red face Called Tracker customer service today

First I want to thank everyone that posted, as I am still very new on this board. I called tracker customer service today. They told me that my pro team 175 is not anodized aluminum, that acid washing if fine to clean it so it is a consistant color, I can polish if I want with mothers or similar aluminum polish, and can seal with sharkhide to protect the finish so it may last for several years before having to repeat. I'm not looking for a mirror finish, I just don't like it looking dirty and uneven.

Waterboy1, what year is your Tracker 175? I have a 2006 model and I am wanting to clean my boat up as well. I have purchased a product called Toon Brite, but I have not used it yet as I was afraid that the boat might have annodized aluminum.

I haven't cleaned the hull on my tracker PT175 in about 6 years. I like the water line on it......makes it easier to tell if I forgot to put the plug in!!!!

I forgot my plug once shortley after getting the boat, got wet feet and a really cold arm in 40 degree water. Haven't forgotten it since.
