Default built in minn kota trans

does anyone use the built in transducer on mk trolling motor? i am putting one on my pontoon and i was told that it is kind of a generic transducer, if anyone has any input let me know, i will not be using this in deep water and i will be hooking it up to an eagle 320, also if i go with the built in one where do i get the coupling to match the unit, any advice would be great.

You can get the adaptor cable about anywhere that sells depth finders. Keep in mind that the US-1 has only a 14° cone but the US-2 has a 20° cone. Because of that I mounted the xducer that came with my Lowrance on the TM (I have the old one).

I run my 522 off a MK transducer and have zero complaint.

I also ran an Eagle 480 off one and it read fine.

I have used mine on the last 3 I have had. And like them. Also no cable to get pinched that way.

That LCX 27 is a fine unit as I have one. My wife is still mad at me though as I just ordered a Humminbird 1197 to add on. I may even put my 27 on the front so I have the GPS at both the console and front. However due to it being more work I may just leave the 27 where it is and add the 1197 next to it.

She will take a while to get over this one!

Skip, there's a local guide here named Jim Duckworth who says it's better to beg for forgiveness, that to ask for permission. Not sure how many times he's been married though.
