Default What to wear for "cold weather"...

    Arctic Armour

Really don't remember how I stumbled upon this site I.D.I. Gear - Where best $$? - Ice Fishing IceShanty.com but I followed up on it and it took me to this site and you can watch how this suit keeps you afloat in water. i.d.i gear : outdoor apparel - hunting, ice fishing, swimwear Click on the videos and it shows how you are able to float and remove yourself from the water. Now I personal find these suits to be extremely expensive but knowing that I have something to protect myself against falling in during cold weather is an added plus. Seems like every 5 years or so, around here you here of someone drowning from cold weather fishing (ice fishing or some type of accident). Would appear that a few extra dollars spent on something like this would be well worth it. Don't confuse these Arctic Armour suits with Ice Armour....Ice Armour does not have the ability to keep you afloat.

Anybody have any experiences with these suits?

By the way, I do not own one of these but am seriously thinking about getting a set....

Dang Drifter I sure wished I had seen this before I bought the Ice armour suit but don't think the Artic armour was around when I was looking.

You are right about the extra expense being a big bite especially now with the markets and declining IRA values.

Now as for my Ice Armour suit I think it is great I just have to remember to put my sospenders on while on the water especially since I do spend quite a bit of time on the water by my self but thats just the way it is with folks without many friends.:D

    Thanks for the post.
