    Talking Another Crappie Day on the river


    Hit the CT river at 7 am with my Fishing partner yesterday.Rainy and raw 48 degrees ,water temp 50.Got 100 Crappie or so.Water like glass.Had a ball . Funny how one day we hammer the Perch an 2 days later we have a Crappiie- thon! :D

    Nice. I have been wanting to try the Wabash River in Indiana. It did not look as you had much current. Were you using jigs, minnows or both? Your pictures came out great. Nice job. Keep posting. Us newbies are still learning. My main crappie fishing growing up was from the bank fishing bushes with minnows. I am now learning trolling, spider rigging and back to the bushes and weed beds.

    Well this is my first post just wanted to say we love the crappie in Toledo Oh to i caught these guys just last week in a river off lake Erie.

    Good work on the slabbage! Anyone ever wonder why northerners use V hulls and southerns use flat bottom?

    Thats a good question, I have never though about it but maybe some of the northerners will let us know why they use the V-hulls. I would think it has to do with the winter storms they have and the V-hulls takes the water better than the flat bottom.
