Here's a trick a fella showed me recently. Here is a regular 1/16 oz X 1/0 jig w/ barb and pink powder painted head. I took needle nose plyers and bent down the hook behind the barb of the lead head, so the hook point is still higher than the center line of the jig. Pictures tell a better story.

Looks like a simple way to make a regular jighead weedless.

cool idea, I'm just wondering if you'd tear the crappie's mouth when you set the hook??? Other than that looks great

I used the slider heads for a short time, they work good but you had to set the hook harder.
