My buddy fished it last sunday and did very well. They spent most of their day checking it out though and not so much time fishing. It took them a while to find fish. They did finally settle down in a long cove fishing grass. All areas outside the main lake and even some of the main lake are covered with field grass from being down for the last few years. Crappie and gills are suspending in these grass areas and are very agressive. They still have yet to spawn. All but two they caught were still full of eggs. Roadrunners, crankbaits, spinners, and minnows or jigs under a bobber would all work great in this grass. Has anyone heard of the fish numbers they restocked before refilling the lake?

He is fishing mississinewa again today, so I will update when I here from him. Salamonie conditions are the same as last week. Big fish are in 13 to 16' feet of water around 8 to 10' deep.
