    Default Fresh fish for supper

Last night we ate some fresh speckled trout due to the generosity of joneugene. He fished yesterday and caught a nice mess of specks and shared them with us. It was nice to have some fresh fish as I don't freeze any I have to rely on being able to catch them when needed. I passed up a trip this weekend because my daughter was under the weather. Maybe this weekend I can squeeze in a trip.

Glad you got some fresh fish in you. We have not been able to fish since the storms either. Been way too long. Hope ya'll get to feel a thump soon.

Hey Gene, I got to share some blackened specks with my mom and dad about a week ago. Man were they good! Me and a buddy had caught them earlier that day. We have been doing great on specks in Big Lake. Me and my son went yesterday morning and caught 20 specks and 2 reds in about an hour. If I can find my camera cord, I will get them loaded up to share with the rest of yall.:D

Paw Paw i've got 2 bags of frozen Crappie and 1 bag of L. Bass that's yours if you're ever up this way. I don't eat them much... enjoy catching them... but usually give them away for others to enjoy.

LSUguy, I missed your post earlier. Thats very generous of you, but I have no plans to head that way in the near future. Thank you anyway. Maybe you can find an older couple nearby. I've found that it is a good neighborly thing to do. Older folks like fish too, but just can't go out and catch them anymore and would have trouble cleaning them. So if I give fish I always give it ready to cook and boneless. In fact the house I'm living in was owned by an older woman living alone and we always pass some seafood her way which she really appreciated.

jon, you know that the reason you want me to go with you is to show you where to fish and how to catch them. I don't see any pictures with you post. Ha.
