    Thumbs up Eno River 11/1

Billy and I took our friend Dee on his first trolling trip to the river yesterday. We went a little late to let the temp. warm up but might have shot ourselves in the foot. On the way to our spot we saw Redboat and got to meet his dad, they were just getting started too. Once we got set up we started catching fish at a pretty good pace. It got hot quick and within the hour we had a big pile of coats and sweaters in the seat. But with the very nice and very warm weather the bite started slowing down. We changed depths and looked for some shade but it didn't seem to matter. We ended up with 39 keepers and threw back half that many smaller ones. A good day but I think we need a week or so of cold nights to get them going. A lot of boats yesterday and everyone seemed to be catching fish. Nice to meet Tony's dad. I wish we could have started earlier or fished later, I bet they turned on after the sun went down. CK.

    Cool

It got hot out there quick huh! Seemed like by the time we headed in (noonish) bite was slowing down.. on the other hand maybe it was just the fact that we fished one area and its still kinda early???? I don't know except that what I did catch sure tasted good!

Getting close to time for me to head that way.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Tony we left at 2:00 and the bite was still slow. We had some good fish and all were fat fish. Nat, I'm hoping it will pick up in the next few weeks. I'll let you know.

Let me know too. Maybe with gas prices dropping the way they are I can take you up on that invitation to come fish the river with you.
