    Default double seat spacing??????

I'm setting up dual seats in the front of my boat, the deck is about 60" wide were I am going to mount the seats, just curious how far apart they should be to give enough room between them but not to close to the side of the boat?

This is my homemade rig. The pedestals are 32 inches apart. My boat is 54 inches wide at the seat post hole. Plenty of room. Hope this helps.

These are 36" center, check your seats at at all angles or you'll loose some
fingers when your partner spins in his seat!

take 2 five gallon buckets and you and your partner get in the boat. set the buckets up front where you want to sit and fish. adjust the buckets until you are comfortable. then measure center to center and now you know what to build. pretty easy.

Thanks all; The Bucket Ideal is a good one I didn't even think of that one. Hey Rowdy, what size tubing did you use for the pedestal bushing to fit into? I have two bushings but having a hard time figuring out what tube to get.

It's 1 1/4" i.d. If you plan to use the threaded pedestals the bolt pattern is a strange one. A 3/4 corse thread is close but not exact, use a soft bolt not a 8 grade and it should not hurt your old pedesal base allready in your boat.

It is not pipe ,metric, fine, mexican, I dont know what it it is?

    Good luck Rowdy

I got a 3/4 bolt standard coarse thread 8 inches long and it works fine. At 32 inches you can spin and you won't have any touchy touchy with your partner.
