I'm going with a buddy of mine. We'll be in a 19' Carolina Skiff. Probably start out trolling in the river. Been doing pretty good in abbots creek?

10''-12'' white bass is good eating. Did you catch them on minnows or jigs? Sorry about the crappie.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

don't feel bad painter...the Rock wasn't good to me today either. Caught one decent crappie right off about daylight.....then caught about 6 more dinks..the kind with their eyeballs bigger than their bodies. Left about 1 pm... I tried minnows, jigs and beetle spins.

Poppop, I don't think that was us. I think I saw the boat you were talking about. That boat was a 21" and had 4 guys in it, with a center console. We (2 of us) were in a 3 or 4 year old 19"er. We had to fish mighty hard and tried about every kind of fishing you can think of. But we finally ended up with a pretty good limit of crappie. No whopers, mostly 9 - 11"ers with five or six just under a pound.
