Those are some great pictures.
Here are some pictures I took of a buck we saw at Big Springs Park near Van Buren this weekend. We saw five or six different bucks and they were all chasing does.
Those are some great pictures.

Those are great pics, and that is a nice deer you were looking at. Were you actually that close or do you have a good lense for your camera?
Goodnight Vienna...Pistols Firing!!!
Great pics!
That is a young deer. Let him grow up, and be a man some day. Nice pics.
The buck was only about 50 to 60 yards away from us the whole time. I was actually sitting in my truck taking the pictures. We saw 5 or 6 bucks that morning and all of them but one was chasing does. This buck had 2 does with him initially and was following them everywhere. When we saw him he was bedded down with a doe.
I may be wrong, but I would say this deer was probably a 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 year old deer. I actually had pictures of at least 4 different bucks from that morning all within 30 minutes on the same stretch of road. If you looked at the four side by side you would get a pretty good progession (in my opinion) of age classes of deer from 1 1/2 to ( 3 1/2 or 4 1/2) year old deer. These deer are in the Ozarks and they primarily feed only on oaks and other browse from the woods. Unlike alot of areas of Missouri, there is not alot of agricultural ground in this area and the deer just don't get the size of alot of northern MO bucks. I shot a 3 1/2 year old 10 pointer two years ago that had a little bigger rack than this deer, but not near the body size of this deer. I have another picture of this deers neck from the back and another where he is walking straight away from me. He has some girth around the neck and hips. I would say for an Ozarks deer he could easily be a 4 1/2 year old deer, but I could be wrong.
nice pics
