My buddy and I started long line trolling about 8am in the main river. It didn't take long to realize that it was going to be a good day. Anything under 10" went back right from the start. After an hour, we moved that from 10" to 11". Anyway ended up with a limit of mostly 10" - 12"ers. Had 3 right at 13" and one just over 14". All caught on 1/8, 1/16 and 1/32oz jigs. We put one or two large split shot about 3' up the line to help get it down there. Used 2" and 3" curly tails in different colors. Also caught quite a few on white Gulp curlys.

Straight across and down river some. But mostly slightly upriver in around 18' of water.
