I was crappie fishing Reelfoot lake on Monday jiggin the stumps. Some of you may know that the last two years most of Reelfoots stumps have been exposed due to lack of rain etc. This is the first time in my lifetime they have been visible, and the first time in a great number of years.

Anyway, was concentrating on fishing and got beside a really nice bass boat (nitro Z9). Was not paying that much attention to it, but imagine my suprise when i realized who it was. A real nice guy, very accomidating, and we were not even the ones who initialized the conversation about fishing. Shouldnt take yall long to figure out who it is!

I ran into Kevin in a sporting goods store down at Toledo Bend about 3 to 4 years ago. He was very accomodatling about signing autographs. The only thing I had available was the cap I was wearing with a crappie logo on it. He smiled a bit, but signed it anyway.

Im not a bass guy at all, but it was just so unexpected and neat to run into him like that. And again I couldnt imagine him being any nicer. Just kind of cool ya know....

When they run the tournament in NY and VT on Lake Champlain they usually have a photo/autograph time and the guys are really good even when they've been out fishing all day.
