    Default Thanks Skiptomylu

I just got back from a trip to Grenada. Went down with a couple of friends and met my oldest son. He lives down on the coast. I was lucky enough to get the first assortment of Skips new Road Runner jigs. We had a rough time with the weather, especially the wind. Talked to a couple of the local guys that are on the board and they were extremely helpful. We pushed jigs, longlined crankbaits, tried minnows and because we couldn't fish where the fish were suspended we avereged about 1 keeper each per day. Finally on Thursday we were able to fish where we had wanted all along and wound up with 16 keepers. My oldest son has never been an avid fisherman. He likes to fish but has never really caught a lot of fish. Said he was just unlucky. He wound up catching more fish than anyone on this trip and he is really hooked now. Started out with minnows and I switched to the roadrunners using some of the colors the local guys said and started catching fish. He switched over and really did well. Lots better than me. Anyway, the road runners did the trick for us. Thanks Skip. Here is a picture of two he caught while we were slow trolling back to the ramp. Had them on at the same time. Both are a little less than 2 pounds. I had to do the old two finsh in the net at the same time trick.

Good pic, lag. Sorry I didn't get to come over to visit y'all, but I've been stretched out. Good to talk to you though, and glad y'all enjoyed the trip. Maybe next time you come, I'll be freed up a little.

I was casting some, but mostly we were trolling. I have a spider rig set up on the front and there is a three pole limit in MS, so we had three poles each.
