    Default Freshwater Fish Attack!

Well, I was snorkiling in Lake St.Clair, and I came arcoss a huge hole that looked like a fish would go through. I started to stick my hand down the hole to see if I could scare anytrhing out when...Suddenly My finger is bit and i'm being pulled by a 15lb catfish! Me freaking out thwe first time I got my finger out and came back to the surface to tell my friend. Me and him went back to the spot and he stuck his hand down there, but nothing happend. I attempt it again and it bit my finger, I then grabbed it and held on for my life surfacing it and bringing it back to shore. It weighed 15lbs, not sure whart Kind of cat but it was a light brown color. I later searched some youtube videos of people catching them like this, I would definetly try this again.

Have you ever been attacked by some freshwater fish/Creature I would be fasanated to hear it!

    I was 13 years old! (Now 15)

Welcome to "noodling" and catchn' cats by hand. You probably provoked a flathead into biting and thats exactly how it's done.

WOW, there's a name for it. I think I'm going to get some gloves before I do it again, I was 13 and it was pretty hard for me to grip it!

Good story- you do need to get gloves and be sure someone is with you while doing this. Not uncommon to pull out 20 to 30lb cats.

Might want to check you fishing regulations before you try it again.Alot of Northern states handpicking or noodling is illegal except for rough fish.

I would prefer a rod and reel.

You'd be in bad shape if it was a 60 pounder. lol

Careful...snapping turtles can take your fingers off.

    I would never do this.
