    Did you weigh it?

It doesn't look that remarkable in that pic other than looking at the mouth! Huge

    Good job Momma!

    Good job Momma!
We caught it April 2001 and I had all the length, girth and stuff written down and she lost all but 3 pics. That was a monster! You can see by looking at that mouth and her hand that he was huge. My wife is not a tiny woman as she is like 5'6" tall so it's not a really small hand, LOL!

I am sure it was over 3 pounds, but how much, don't know really. I should have mounted it, but we were catching big fish all the time back then in the spring before our Hydrilla beds dies off. Now they are coming back and when they do I am ready.

Not that long after we were married I took her fishing for the first time and it was bass fishing with spinner baits back in probably 1978 or 1979. She caught a 3 1/2 pound bass that day and she was pretty much hooked. Now she doesn't like fishing as much as I do, but I get her to go a good bit.

One night after that in the Spring we were night fishing for bass with a black spinner bait and she got a bog bass on that broke her line and she cried over that one, LOL!

We do enjoy fishing and she helps cleaning them too.

Oh yeah this Dec will be our 30th anniversary.

    Thanks all,

That is one nice crappie, mind sharing what you caught it on or is it bad manners to ask a crappie hunter what they use for bait.
