    Default Spider Rigging

Thinking about setting my boat up for spider rigging. Anyone had good/bad results using this method in the fall on Truman?

Shoot, I'm barely coordinated enough to use 1 rod without being hung up all the time. But seriously it's just not my cup of tea, but good luck anyway.

Have not done it in the fall here. It can be very successfull in the spring. Prespawn through postspawn when the fish are holding on the ledges. It is more enjoyable for me to just hold a rod out each side of the boat though. Then you get to feel that THUMP. It can be a challenge in some areas of the lake and boat control is key with all the standing timber to navigate around.

Thanks guy's. The tangling will be an issue but I am a glutton for punishment. I am thinking of trying it Saturday. May hit KK island and hit on some walleye in the process.

Thanks for the heads up Bluejay, looks like they are calling for windy conditions. I made my own rod holders and am anxious to give them a try.

I know what you mean. Using 10ft rods is a challenge enough for me & only one at a time. Welcome to the site PommeKing. Do you fish Pome a lot?

I rig some on loz and grenada but have never tried truman, rigging through the trees can be tough but it is possible just go to a one hook set up with a 3/4 oz sinker above the hook that way you can shake the hook loose when you get hung......at least that worked for us on grenada.
