Seems ok. I have issues with braid in both fresh and salt water.
I am hoping to get this reel to go with my soon to get crappie rod(see oter post) but was wondering if anyone has used it. It is a shimano sienna in the 1000fb size. I want to put 8lb braid on it. I really want to know if it comes with a spare spool or not.

In description nothing is said about a spare spool so I would guess NO spare spool.
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....

I was reading on another board about Shimano not putting extra spools with reels as it was costing them too much money. There's plenty of older stock out their with them, but I'd call Cabela's and ask!! I love Shimano spinning reels and have always gotten at least one spare spool but call Cabela's.
Now you can go on ebay and search under sporting goods for spare spools and sometimes you can pick up really good deals.

Hello. My wife has a shamino sonora son2500 on a ultra light lighting rod. She likes the reel and rod very well, however she said she may get the next size up on the reel as it is a bit small. I am thinking about taking it over I like the smooth action of the shamino over the other reels I have (okuma, mitchell, abu ect..). I will probably make shamino my reel of choice from now on. I got the son2500 at wallyworld for $39.99 with extra spool included. Hope this helps. Thank you.
