No sense in me getting excited. We have at least 3 more months before we get ice here in N/W PA.

Looking at least three more months here. Did not get to go at all last year. Hope it is a little colder this year. Where are you from in MN? I have fished in the Ely area a few times. flip

I live in Minneapolis in a suburb called Crystal...not to far from where Tonka Toys originated.I fish all over Minnesota and Wisconsin.Granted it's the start of the fall months,however...it's never to soon to start playing with the winter gear...get the icehouse and auger ready.

I'm gonna try and modify my Clam 4600 so it's more user friendly...lights,poles,etc.:D

Well I for 1 am chompping at the bit to get on the ice in less then 2 months.
Got new gear to work out with an Otter Lodge,Strike Master Auger and more importantly I'm looking forwardd to using my new Marcum flasher.
The way it looks we may get some early ice ,which would be great .I just hope the snow stays away until we get a good foot made.

16 degrees here this morning. With luck we should have safe ice by the first of Dec.
