Fuel Additive
Wanting to add a can of Sea Foam but have a question--I already have added Stabil to my tank and have about 11 gallons out of 22 left. Would it be OK to add the Sea Foam or should I wait until I fill up with new gas?

Told by merc service not to use Seafoam...
when I asked them if they carried it. Said that originally it was a good product but, and I wish I was sure of what I'm about to say... I think he said due to the ethanol content, or something like that, it has created some issues. He said they had some top dogs from Honda over from Japan, and they were reporting some findings they attributed to usage of that product. Anyway, I thought I'd let you know just in case you want to do some more investigating.

I think I would just add the other 11 gallons and then you won't have a problem. I would feel a little uneasy with that much additive in that little gas. I would rather have more gas and less additive. Do you mix your gas and oil or is it oil-injected? That too would have a bearing on it.

i run a can about every other time i get gas. I Ran it my Yamaha and now run it in my mercury.
