    Default What a day!

I had the pleasure of taking out three good friends today. These guys are all retired and one was a huge influence and a reason I fish today. He took me fishing and hunting when I was young. Now I have the chance to take him! Another is a guy that I worked with for 17 years at the post office. He retired in April and this was the first chance we have had to see each other since.
Took them to lake Texoma and put them on some brush piles. They took a spanking for awhile but soon caught on to jig fishing:D
Ended the day with 45 keepers and a big smile and new stories to talk about.

Default That's what fishin' is all about.

What a great story--you "giving back" to those that invested time in you during your boyhood.

That is tops in my book--and you caught a bunch of fish to boot.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hey Jerry, you guys boated some nice fish there. I've always had room in my rig for the more experienced fellers. Some trips have been nothing more than to give them the chance to catch fish again as they never get to go. Their wives know they don't need to worry about them if they go with me. I used to take one guy out that had parkinson's and I had to really watch him. He never fell out of the boat. Another is going blind, I just tie and help him with colors, he's not that bad off yet. He has no problem with the "thump" and setting the hook. Great Job!

Great job Jerry! I love the look on peoples faces when they figure out how to jig.

I KNOW you thouroughly enjoyed that trip! Probably more BS aboard than you thought your boat could hold too!:D Glad everything worked out for you, and you were able to have a big day catching fish for the guys. Congrats.
