    Default rods

I dont know, but i have had some ice rods that broke REALLY easy. They were the rods that had the carbon fiber handle, cant remember the brand. One was a micro and broke in the bag while surrounded by ul and L rods??? My opinion has change slightly on ice rod though as i have used mine more, I kind of feel its more important to have a spring bobber and a light weight reel than the best rod. My old berkley genz rods have stood up well. A rod tip doesnt compare to a spring bobber for detecting strikes in my opinion

Evidently you haven't used a HT enterprise 24" rod. These are so sensitive, it's like fishing with a spring bobber. They have them in 18" too. Great panfish rods.

No i live on Los Angeles, we dont have any ice rods here. I have ordered mine and a fl-18 sight unseen when i was goint to go ice fishing here in mammoth, i found out after i got them that DFG closed all ice fishing in the sierras. It got real windy on the lake one day so i broke one out and ended up with my first crappie over 2#. It was just perfect to use the short rod fishing in the lee of the boat and low. I use mine a few times a year.
