That top photo is all 'Crappie Candy'? This is for Casting, not trolling...right?
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D

Well with the Crappie Candy I have been thinking about using them on a drop above a jig and you could do the same thing with a Woolly Bugger.

The Poppers are a different story, need a fly rod for them for sure.

When crappie feed on the surface [ have witnessed this bite ] you can really do well with a fly rod presentation, if you dont have this setup, rig the fly[s] on a dropper with a small float its fun & it works great, the flyrod method produces a presentation they dont see everyday.

I agree with you ripper. I've used a small weighted bobber tied 3 or 4 ft above a fly and fished it that way. Had a blast on the gills.

    My friend Skip,

Those look very good. I am coming over to your house for dinner. Another nice job. The fish will call you "The Candy Man."

Chaunc, you are using the bobber I love! (I also drill a small hole in the bottom and at the base of the top stem. It then becomes a slip float.)
