    Exclamation Cowanesque Lake reports......

OK so it's not quite in NY but it's REALLY close.
I've heard from some that they heard from others that have hit schools of crappie. They aren't at the upper end inlet as of Sunday the 15th. All I found up there were small perch hitting on a small green jig.

Any ideas where they are hitting?
I read someplace that pink head with a white jig body is the hot lure lately.

Finally found a few of the little fella's tonight. Only got three 10 inchers in the 'boat' and maybe six more in the air and then back into the water. I think they were holding on for dear life but never were really hooked! Chartruse jig head with the soft 'felt' body and fluffy tail, tipped with a bit of perch fillet. No hits at all once the perch had been stripped off.
Textbook location, along a shallow north cove near where it drops off into the main channel. 30 feet of line out on the anchor, only 20 yards off a point.
