    Default Crappie nutritional values

Do they exist or should I just compare it to other fish such as catfish which values are readily available for?

Just one opinoin.......I don't think there's a stand-out difference in "nutritional" values of crappie vs. catfish....or any other fish. I'm not a dietitian. But you can goole up info relating to the nutritional value of fish (in general), and it's determined to be a stand-out "brain food".

I do know this........if it's that advantageous for the brain, as much of it as I eat, I should be another Einstein ........... but if it ain't good for ya, I'm a walkin' dead man.

If nothing else, I think just gettin' them suckas to take your bait is worth more than any nutritional value there is.........it just soothes my soul.

Steve Wunderle in his book, "Crappie Cookbook - From Lake to Table" states that crappie rate high in protein and have the fewest calories and lowest fat content per serving when compared to walleye, largemouth, northern pike, white bass, and catfish.

Thats good to know, crappieken! I will have to look into that.

I do alot of weight lifting and obviously protein is essential to building muscle. I absolutely love crappie and bluegill and eat an abundance during fall and winter.

Multiply that serving size by 10 and that would be a realistic meal.
