    i saw someone mention that your not supposed to use bread as bait in minnow traps because it kills the, is this true?

    I've always used Saltine crackers and never had any die because of it. Don't know about bread.

    I've never seen bread kill minnows.
    I find dry dog food is better bait though.

    What sort of area do you put one of these in? I have one in the closet which is a cylinder with a funnel on each end, and am thinking about throwing it in the boat this weekend, to put somewhere just for kicks and giggles. What sort of structure/depth should I look for, if y'all don't mind?

    I use bread also.Heres how I fixed my traps,you can use 1 piece of bread in each one this way for weeks & weeks (cost very cheap)
