i am wanting to get a set of four two for the front to push jigs and two for the back to troll can anyone tell me how good they hold your pole when you are trolling it looks like they would just pull out thanks for your replys

I don't have them, but have used them in some buddies' boats spider rigging, pushing -
they hold on pretty tight :cool:

Now if you were to have a rod pointed straight at the direction of pull
and got hung up, guess it could come out, but thats about any rod holder.

I've been using a set for a couple years now and have not had any problems. But I don't do any long-lining yet. I have got hung up many many times and never had a pole pulled out of the holder all the way.

I use them mainly for spider rigging. I haven't had any problems with them holding onto the poles.

I have 8 in the front and 8 in the back. Used them for straigt lining and trolling with RR's. I have caught big gar and drum but never had a rod come out
