Default How to handle windy days!!!

What are some of your tricks for staying on the lake when the wind gets up? I fish a large lake and have to deal with the wind allot. I have used a five gallon bucket on a rope and tied where it drags behind the boat but on stronger wind days I have chains. I put 5 feet of 3/8 logging chains on 25' of soft rope. Will stop my 18' Tracker dead still in 15 mph wind. If it gets to bad I will put 2 of these set ups out one on each side to prevent spinning. It works great!

    Default log chains?

Wow- If it gets that windy I have to go home and thaw out a bag of fillets.
I have heard of Pit Bulls that drag log chains. :D :p

That sounds like some of the same techniques that we use in south louisiana!
